The Mardy Fish Children’s Foundation, based out of Vero Beach, Florida, teamed up with Holly Tennis providing MFCF Kids on Courts at Holly.
Kids 4 and up of all skills levels were invited to be a part of the tennis craze on Saturday, July 27th from 10 am to noon at the Holly High School Tennis Complex. During this two-hour tennis experience, kids will learn tennis from nationwide certified pros, while being taught about health, fitness and nutrition through “Mardy’s 6 Healthy Habits”. The morning of tennis, health and fitness will conclude with a nutritious box lunch for all the participants that they can enjoy during the meet and greet with the pros, trainers and doctors. The cost for this event is $10 per participant (lunch and prizes include). Scholarship are available.
Local and nationwide USPTA certified tennis professionals were on site, including. Kristen Fettig -Wilson, Director of Tennis with the Mardy Fish Children’s Foundation and teaching professional from Vero Beach, Fl. Will Sophia, Holly Varsity Tennis Coach and Teaching Professional with Genesys Athletic Club. Brennan Brown, former Holly Tennis coach and former Teaching Professional from Saddlebrook Tennis Academy in Tampa, Fl. Kyle Foster, Director of 10 And Under Tennis with the Midland Tennis Center. Travis Roberts, PTR with Genesys Athletic Club.
Kim Jackson, elite Health and Fitness Educator provided the fitness and nutrition component through movement-based exercises, stretches and games Dr. Bryant Pittlsey will be on-site to talk to the kids about the importance of brushing and flossing, and other health related topics for active children.
